AZ, Santa Cruz Co., Pajarito Mountains along Ruby Road
Lat/long are approximate
Initially spotted crossing the road to Sycamore Canyon, it took refuge in a nearby mesquite.
This snake was hidden under a large bush near Head of the Ditch campground in NM. It was upset that we drove by it's bush and was rattling loudly which caused us to notice it.
Very small, found on ladder canyon trail in Mecca Hills Wilderness. Seems juvenile.
In situ
Sadly found dead presuming by accident or stepped on or rock thrown at it

I think this is a young Speckled but I don’t have much experience with rattlers. Any help appreciated!
