Oleander Aphid (Aphis nerii)

Observer

Date

August 2018

Description

Based on the reading I've done, the yellow aphids that infest milkweed in late summer are oleander aphids, an introduced species. The bloated, brown ones have been parasitized by a wasp and turned into "mummies."
