Basida: Clavate 4-sterigmate.

Clamp connections: Found in all tissues.
Ecology: Growing on decayed log. Unsure if local species.

Located on fallen conifer log;
Cap convex, dry, whitish with small brown scales, margin slightly in-rolled;
Gills close, whitish, decurrent, edges serrated;
Stem tough, scaly, reddish brown recurved scales, darker toward base;
Yummmmmmmm..... anise!
