Found on the road. Originally thought it was a Leopard frog and only realized it was a Pickerel after looking at these photos.
She lives in our basement! Our house is almost 200 years old and has a wet stone foundation.

Northern water snake, right? A friend found this in southern Illinois, we both sorta thought prairie kingsnake, but it sure looks like a water snake to me. I’m most familiar with Appalachian and west coast reptiles, though, and it does look just a little different than the ones I find constantly here in West Virginia.
