This sample of iridescent algae was found in a shallow tidepool. The algae blade was very thin and displayed rainbow reflection when looked at from different angles. The blade was quite long, up to a foot in length but I could not locate its holdfast.
This pink coralline algae was found in a very small tide pool at Fitzgerald Marine Reserve. This particular section of the algae was roughly 3.5 inches long. It appeared to be in good health with proper nutrient supplies.
Noticed this in the pic of another observation. Believe it to be a Rough Keyhole Limpet
