I saw a Western Chicken Turtle crossing the entrance road of Justin Hurst WMA. It was in Columbia Bottomland Forest habitat.

Could be a Nerodia erythrogaster. Smallish snake. Zoo Lake at Nelson Park.
County record captured by myself and Wes Anderson. This individual is now specimen 74704 at the herpetology collection at University of Texas at Austin. It was a gravid female.
