This female monarch visited my backyard milkweed patches today, and laid at least two eggs on my planted showy milkweed. This is the second day in a row for female monarch visitations here. A female laid four eggs on the same plant yesterday. [Later I found 6 more eggs on a different showy milkweed plant that I had not observed either monarch visiting. Evidently one or both of them did.]
