Juvenile seen on 8/13/20 had been dug from a nest by a research intern. Cavities are dug five days after hatchlings emerge to count empty egg shells and unhatched eggs. Sometimes they find a hatchling that wasn't able to crawl out. That was the case with this hatchling and it was dug up late in the morning. The turtle was carried across the hot sand to wet sand and released. It crawled into the ocean.
