Description

This spider was about two inches long. It had a long grid like web that had a small bug in it. The body had yellow and brown markings. The legs had a brown base with black endings. There was a small, narrow, and furry light brown head. The body had small yellow and brown stripes that were about one centimeter long and the legs in front were paired together. I think this is a yellow garden spider, but am not sure. So far I have looked at other spider observations in the area and The Field Guide To The Spiders of California and The Pacific Coast States. I would like confirmation or other ideas for this.
