The White-crowned Sparrows might have migrated today, but this beautiful Western Tanager just showed up for the first time this year...
I only saw one.
I am a little flummoxed. I know that Solitaire is rare for this spot, but the eye ring and black bill has ruled out some of the usual suspects for me (mockingbird, western bluebird, and robin). Taken about an hour before sunset.
