Description

Quelle chance! 3 nouvelles G. pubescens. Plutôt petites donc encore bien jeunes.

Le CDPNQ a été informé de cette observation.


Mise à jour du 6 août

J'ai remarqué qu'il y avait une autre G. pubescens à environ 1 1/2 pied. Elle est si minuscule que je n'ose pas la signaler. Mais je l'ajoute plutôt ici, sur la 2e photo.

Donc 4 G. pubescens au total.

Description

Là je suis ravie! C'est le deuxième Polypode que je trouve dans ce boisé. Il est minuscule, les frondes font à peine 2 pouces (5 cm) de long. Cette fois encore, la base des feuilles me semble plus large (forme triangulaire). Il pousse sur le tronc d'un arbre vivant. Pour identifier l'espèce à coup sûr (P. appalachianum ou P. virginianum), il faudrait que je fasse le décompte des sporangiasters. Ça m'enrage de ne pas avoir accès à un binoculaire. Grrrrr!

Description

I think these are wasps. They’re about the size and shape of the fuzzy bumblebees but these don’t seem to have any fuzz. There’s a bunch of them around but they seem to get into brief little fights with each other and other species whenever they land near the same flower.
