Description

No idea what this was. Pseudoinonotus looks similar?
Was really hard, wouldn’t move. Sap like stuff ooozed out when poked. Looks like chocolate chip cookie. At base of tree. Didn’t pay attention to what kind of tree.

Description

I noticed this thick viscous material appearing on the cut end of a tree trunk the last few days. It has a fermented smell resembling a yeast smell, with lots of bubbles. The material is dripping down on to the ground. No insects are present.
