Asian Bleeding-Heart (Lamprocapnos spectabilis)

Observer

This flower is very interesting looking because it slightly resembles a heart shape. The plant itself has leaves with alternating placement and is grassy at the base. There are white petals hanging vertically off of the pink part of the flower with some yellow coloring

Observer

Description

I heard this chickadee before spotting it because of the distinct call it makes. Also the coloring of the white and black on its head are specific to the black-capped chickadee. This bird had just caught a worm and was sitting in the tree eating it when I took this picture.
