Only 1 plant observed. Smelled like a Sphaeromeria!
On deciduous wood. Mat of blue mycelium at base. There are tiny blue spots on lower margin of cap. Cap: 5mm and stipe is 2.5 cm long. Hairs on stipe: up to 127.2 um long. Spores are round to oblong: 6.1-7.4 with a big drop. Park.
Growing on decayed conifer log. Blue on top of cap and bottom of stem.
AKA Artemisia ruthiae. Nearly endemic to Zion NP, found on limey sandstone cliff faces, or in mortar on rock walls in Walter's Wiggles on trail to Angels Landing
Found growing on side of fallen tree, white finger like structure white reddish brown tips. Potentially Lion’s Mane?
