Desert Horned Lizard (Phrynosoma platyrhinos)

Observer

j_mcgowan

Date

September 29, 2012

Description

A juvenile Desert Horned Lizard that had been caught deeper in the canyon from the campground. Based on its size, it was likely from a clutch that had hatched from this previous season. It was placed in a plastic bag briefly for the rest of the class to view, before releasing it back where it had been found.
