Short-tailed Weasel
still frame from video of ermine and brown rabbit taken 1/23/2023
Not extremely clear images. Captured less than 100 yards from a small creek.
Trying to cross bywash? Or fishing?
American Stoat? Part of a video clip. Seems to be fairly solid colour; can't see a light coloured belly. About the size of a large Eastern Squirrel. Seen about 150' from a river.
I know its a bad picture - they caught me by surprise and moved quite quickly. You can see one in the top left of the photo. It looks like they were going down the drain but they weren't - I saw them continue crossing beyond the curb. 3 dark weasel type animals really close together in a line scurrying across the road. Got to the spot and couldn’t see them anymore!
Sadly killed by my dog while hunting around foundation of old barn.
