I saw nine peafowl cross San Marino Street at San Pasqual Street. Three of the males continued down the sidewalk on San Pasqual while the rest of the group took over someone’s lawn & tree on San Marino until the sprinkler starting scared some of them off.

A second individual from the kettle referenced here.
As I was entering the Johnson's pasture area of the Claremont Hills Wilderness Park, I spotted several raptors flying toward me from the east, and as I watched them, I saw they were part of a kettle of about 50 Swainson's Hawks flying to the west. A few stragglers flew right over my head, so I was able to snap a few photos even though I didn't have the right lens for taking bird pictures.
This is the same kettle reported in this observation, which was made just to the east of me only a minute or so before mine.
A kettle of about 50 Swainson's Hawks were flying west along the foothills in Claremont.
