Oh, one of the most beautiful fungus I have the chance to scope. 11/7. The fungus is pure white BUT the spores are dark brown. Some spores look like a bird in fly! Cystidia have small crystals; clamps are present. Basidia 4-spored. Stipe has odd hyphae. Backyard, on wood debris and rich soil, under an orange tree. Coprinopsis sect. Canocipes

Growing on deer dung.
Definitely looks like dead fingers, but I’m not sure if it really is that one! Very cool looking

Basidiome rigide, noduleux, effusé-réfléchi sur plus de 1 mètre, de couleur chamois tan rosé à brun foncé.
Marge particulièrement obtuse, irrégulière, blanchâtre.
Pores grands, irréguliers, anguleux et dentés.
Odeur et saveur indistincte.

perithecia scattered, vivid orange, up to about 1cm. margin darker, composed of very small hairs (photo 9). Paraphyses clavate and filled with orange granules. Spores, covered with a very conspicuous and mostly complete net, do not appear warty. spores (in asci, and without ornamentation) measured 13-16 x 6-9 µm
