Many trees were covered in this beautiful Cat-tail Moss.
None of the suggestions are what this bush is. If anyone has an idea please let me know.
This moss is quite common here on the Olympic Peninsula, and also quite amazing to see under a hand lens or microscope. Locally it's called Wavy-leaved Cotton Moss, a long name that's a challenge to remember!
