Sugar Bush found along the Canyon Riparian stream.
This is the only species of Opuntia littoralis (Coastal Prickly Pear) that I could see at the Alluvial Scrub Community at Eaton Canyon. As I'm sure there are others, it is doubtful that this species is dominant anywhere in the area.
This is a picture of Salvia mellifera (Black Sage) at Eaton Canyon. In the Sage Scrub community, Salvia mellifera, among others, seems to be heavily dominated by Artemisia californica (California Sage).
