The mite did a great job last year, the plants looked extremely stressed to the point that less birds nested within them. Now though the plants seem to have recovered well, unfortunate from a pest species point of view.
2cm body. Came to light. Area is semi rural eucalyptus and Ironbark forest and paddock.
We are thinking this is a tick but not sure. I pulled it off one of my goats who is not well. We have also lost a couple of goats and thought they had a bad worm infection. The rain has been unforgiving.
