Pair mating. I think the female (larger) is the same one seen in this obs 5 days earlier. Same kauri, and almost the same location on the trunk:

Different coloured stick insects on a titoki trunk in native bush. Counted at least 6.

Small. Night walk on a house deck in native bush.

Some kind of stick insect? Probably fell off the tree on our deck after it was injured by something.
