Pair mating. I think the female (larger) is the same one seen in this obs 5 days earlier. Same kauri, and almost the same location on the trunk:

I thought the two-legged stick insect caught in a spider web was dead, but found it 6 hours later on the house wall! Native bush surrounding the property.
