On C. scoparius
gall on broom
First detected in CA near LAX in 2009, but not thought to be established in the state. This is the first record I know of the species since that collection. A very heavy infestation, easily visible from afar by the white wax all over the leaves, and many adults and nymphs per leaf, on Melaleuca quinquenervia, which is an ornamental tree here. In Florida, where this plant is an invasive weed, this psyllid has been introduced as a biological control, and it's easy to see why given the damage it causes.
I will get macro images of the adults and nymphs later tonight.
(sorry for the repost, I submitted this earlier than accidentally deleted the submission)
