I found this dragonfly nymph (Antisoptera sp.it.) in wolf creek today at around 10:00am. It was about 1/2 inch long, and could be identified as such due to its large eyes and 6 legs. Today it was a high of 55 degrees F and a low of 36 degrees F. It was also at 64% humidity and wolf creek was high due to rain the day before. Dragonflies spend most of their lives in the water as larvae and can show a mercury content in the water. This is related to bio accumulation due to dragonfly nymphs being low on the food chain.
