One of the strangest fly I have ever seen. Curious to see what it is, if it has a name.
Many of these small phorids walked alongside Neivamyrmex workers (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/94878395) in raiding columns and some were also observed entering/exiting the entrance to a nest. Winged phorids were also observed hovering above foraging columns and landing/walking beside them. Based on the association with neivamyrmex and general appearance of these flies, an ID of Xanionotum seems likely.
