On outside wall of house. Probably L. murina, but the diagnostic features that distinguish this from L. cylindrata can't be seen in the photograph. As far as I'm aware, only L. murina has been recorded from the North Island so far, but, given the close association of these spiders with human dwellings, it seems only a matter of time before the two species colonise both the North and South Islands. Therefore, identifying these to species level on the basis of distribution is not good practice.
