"Just letting you know we have blue moon butterflies both male and female flying and landing on my pansies and asters around carters beach westport after the cyclone is that a coincidence.Ive never seen them before. they are mixing with the monarchs that are also plentiful. Its awesome."

Hamish Patrick told me after a lecture that this is a photo of the glade copper, not the common copper. Note the brown triangular marking on the wing underside.
