Another day of surveys for our "10 Parks Study." We're trying to show folks that biodiversity exists even at these tiny urban parks -- they're crucial refuges for nature and for the naturalists that seek it out. :)

Take in high quality remnant prairie. Only shot I got. It flew before I could adjust my camera settings.
Wasp is black and has yellow coloring on it, didn’t get a long look at it
Nest is approx 4-5” long
Found an overturned tree and heard the high pitch stridulations of a mud-dauber wasp. I took a short video of one forming a mud ball and exported this still image from it.
