Found first by Carol & Jeff Newell. On the Outerloop Trail, near Wood Duck Deck.
The Seminole waited near the same location, for me to arrive and get these pictures.
Found near Library Trail.
A little downstream of Fox Bridge.
About 20 yards from a patch of Lance-leafed Waterwillow, a host plant for the Seminole Crescent.
Near the edge of the Swamp.
I saw and documented 3 individuals on Monday, July 3, 2023.
• All 3 are reported separately in iNat.
• 2 were observed near the Visitor Center at the edge of and in Patch #2 of Loose-flowered Water-willows, a common host plant for these crescents.
o This is near Bird Banding Nets #1 & #2.
• 1 was observed beyond the end of Library Trail, following the edge of the Swamp downstream, past the library property. Almost to the point where the swamp water flows under Bluebonnet Blvd.
3 individual Seminole Crescents seen at Bluebonnet Swamp – Near the Front door to the Visitor Center.
On 11/4/22 at about 11:30 am with Dan & Laurie Mooney.
Feeding at a clump of flowers:
• mostly Creeping Spot & Blue Mist & White Snake Root & Calico Aster.
Distinguishing between individuals done by looking at damage (or not) to wing edges and by the group of three people seeing 2 Seminoles at one time.
Each Seminole entered into iNat separately.
This is 3 of 3.
