Dozens of individuals all along the trail to Iron Bog Lake. Mixed with painted ladies, milbert's tortoiseshell and hoary commas. By far the most numerous of the butterflies present. Sunny and around 70 degrees.

Field Notes - Smaller than a painted lady. Was very slow to open its wings and even then not all the way. Cloudhill gardens. Lots of floweting plants.
Species suggestions, anyone?
The rest of the day was spent around Pena Blanca Lake. Most of us just went out solo to explore on our own and came back at night to set up the black lights. Lots of amazing stuff here!

Greenish rather than bluish cast to abdomen make me believe this to be a tropical checkered skipper rather than a white checkered skipper.
