Like so many mantis lacewings, this is not just sitting on the sheet, but is feeding on some smaller insect, although I cannot quite see what.
When they were finally brave enough to move further up the tree, it appeared they have a fully healed stump instead of a tail, so unsure if it’s a ringtail or brushtail possum. The ears were smaller and rounded than I remember brushtails having.
Finally seen! after ten days of hearing constantly.
Being attacked by an Australian Magpie and a Noisy Miner
