There were a few flocks of these guys flying north. Why north?

Female, immature.

I saw one mink at the Oak Creek Rawson Community Gardens at about 9 am. It was near the creek that runs to the east of the gardens.

American mink was hiding under vehicles in parking lot and was flushed into neighboring parking lot

Approx. 5" long - only photo, unfortunately.

Open mouth - trying to cool off, presumably.

crows pecking at the deceased body

recognizable by the black and white spotted wings and the red sub color on the top of the head
