difficult to distinguish between lesser & greater, but this one has brighter yellow legs, slight turn-up beak. slim body.
The gull with the black head
Dead probably from a car strike, found on the sidewalk beside a busy road. Poor little thing!
High pitch noises from the flock. Most smaller than a Canada Goose, shorter beaks and more slope to forehead. A few larger birds in the mix might have been Canada geese.

Gray head, yellow chest and belly, greenish back, small pointed black bill, incomplete white eye ring. Flitting movements.
Captured with dip net
Grey-blue, smaller than a Robin, tail feathers were white and blue-grey. Twice the size of a sparrow and no brown at all.
Size much closer to a Robin. No sparrow colouration and too big to be a sparrow.
