Description

Managed to pull 2/5 🫤 out of the lawn where I've seen them get mowed. I didn't expect their bulbs to be buried 20-30 underground. Hopefully root growth hormone saves the remaining 3.

Throwback to one of my first observations, which is the whole reason I knew about this little patch of Erythronium

Description

Les bûcherons de la Ville de Montréal ont fini par aboutir ici, dans ce merveilleux Boisé. Plusieurs arbres sur le pourtour du site sont cerclés de rouge. J'espère que les précautions nécessaires seront prises pour épargner les belles essences : plusieurs spécimens sont justement situés en périphérie.

Jeune Orme. On voit clairement les poils bruns sur les bourgeons (Photos 1, 2, 3 et 4).

« Arbre peu abondant qui se reconnait grâce à ses bourgeons brun foncé couverts de poils brun rougeâtre et grâce à ses bourgeons floraux presque sphériques. Comme pour les autres Ulmus, les écailles des bourgeons sont disposées en 2 rangées. »
« L'axe du bourgeon terminal fait un angle avec le rameau. »
