Out Exploring The Big New World
Week 7 with the barred owl family turned out to be my last week. It had been 2 weeks since I'd been by. The nest was now empty & there was no sign of either parent. However, I found one baby owl high in the treetops. About 50 yards from the nest tree. I was lucky it was perched in an open window among the heavy tree canopy.

Baby Spots Me
It didn't take baby long to spot me way down below.

Last Photo
This was my last shot of the baby owl as it walked along the branch deeper into leaf coverage. Smart baby.
Had a wonderful time with fellow naturalists at LLELA during the City Nature Challenge. It got a bit chilly this evening, but quite a few bugs still showed up.
