It's the middle of Winter and we still have 686 people out and about recording biodiversity in July to share with the world. Amazing stuff. Together this July we've uploaded 14,312 observations covering 2,331 species. Let's not forget the local an international 718 people who provided these observations with identifications. Where would we be without these knowledgeable and helpful people.

The Great Southern Bioblitz is only a few weeks away! Will you be participating any time from Friday 20th Sept through to Monday 23rd? The Great Southern Bioblitz 2024 Umbrella Project is up. So too is the Greater Adelaide project and the City of Onkaparinga project. Join up to one or all to show your support. Let's make this the best year yet.

Hi there my iNat followers,

After 12 months of concerted effort I've established a social enterprise in South Australia specialising in building community biodiversity literacy. You can find out more on the FOUNDATION Ecology website.

As a social enterprise the community is at it's core. It's your efforts to share your discoveries with the wider world through the iNaturalist platform that go so far toward introducing the community to the species they may never otherwise come to know.

If you'd like to show your support and contribute, you can join FOUNDATION Ecology's Champions of Biodiversity collection project. (The focus is South Australia only, so observations outside this area won't show up, but you are still welcome to join if you are outside SA).

Help show off our local biodiversity this Spring by joining and sharing your discoveries in FOUNDATION Ecology's Spring 2024 Collection project. A new project will be released each season.
