17th day of #30DaysWild!

Today is the 17th day of #30DaysWild! Annual challenge from the UK Wildlife Trusts.

A lunchtime walk around Mudchute Park and Farm today. I saw a large murder of crows in one field, and a small wren hunting in a woodpile. My personal highlight though was a couple of Long-tailed Tit's in a Fir tree.

New species I saw today;

  • Long-tailed Tit (Aegithalos caudatus)
  • European Black Elderberry (Sambucus nigra) AKA Elder
  • European Mountain Ash (Sorbus aucuparia) AKA rowan
  • Mock Oranges (Genus Philadelphus)

(a full list of everything I saw can be found here; https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?on=2024-06-17&place_id=any&user_id=happybird44&verifiable=any)
