Today is the 23rd day of #30DaysWild! Annual challenge from the UK Wildlife Trusts.
A lot of walking along the shore in Folkestone again today. Weather was clear and rather hot. No observations made today, but I did find a a very cheap, almost new RSPB Handbook of British Birds, 2nd Edition in a local charity shop.

Another walk along the beach in Folkestone and up to East Cliff and Warren Country Park and to the beach there.

Work today prevented me from going for a walk, but sadly we did find a dead reptile in the garden. Trying to establish if it was a Snake or a Slow Worm.

No walk today. Just a quick look around the garden.
On a more positive note, I received a box of field guides from NHBS today, so hopefully my ID skills will improve once I read them (NHBS have them on sale until the end of this month).

A looping walk today from Shadwell DLR to wapping woods, around Shadwell basin, back through the woods and back to Shadwell DLR station.

Today is the 17th day of #30DaysWild! Annual challenge from the UK Wildlife Trusts.
A lunchtime walk around Mudchute Park and Farm today. I saw a large murder of crows in one field, and a small wren hunting in a woodpile. My personal highlight though was a couple of Long-tailed Tit's in a Fir tree.

Folkestone again today, sandy and stoney beaches. It was much sunnier today and the wind while still present was a lot less.

A very breezy walk along Sunny Sands beach and along East Cliff headland in Folkestone. I particularly liked the new plants I saw.

Today is the 14th day of #30DaysWild! Annual challenge from the UK Wildlife Trusts.
Brief look around Bushy Ruff Park again. Saw a large wasp feeding, a butterfly, a damselfly (not photographed), and some more usual insects. I observed my first Spittlebug and saw a Ground Hopper that looked like it was wearing armour.
