5 additional observations from natural open space
I walked within the first 100 feet of the entrance to the park and observed plants on either side of the path. The path was relatively flat and a clearing in the plants open up to a view of rolling green mountains and hills. Plants were everywhere and although where I was exploring the path was flat, I know that it becomes steeper and more hilly as you progress. There is a lake relatively nearby- hence the name of the park "Water Dog Lake." I think that I was in a woodland plant community.
