Today we decided to go to the Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve in Ft. Myers, Florida. It is a medium-sized preserve known for the likeliness that you will see an alligator! We did end up seeing 1 alligator and many birds! The best birds of the day for me were 2 northern parulas! On the way home, we stopped at Bateman Road, which is known for its Florida Scrub Jay population! We did end up seeing 2 scrub jays! Later at the hotel pool, we saw MANY magnificent frigatebirds and swallow-tailed kites!
