The Kamchatka Peninsula is one of the most volcanically active regions on Earth. The abundant hot springs and geothermally-heated soils present as a result of volcanic activity are host to a unique array of flora within the otherwise frigid environment. Some taxa are endemic, and others are significant disjuncts from warmer climates farther south. List currently restricted to flora; may be expanded to all thermophytes in the future.
All species recorded in water or thermal soils exceeding 50 C.
