Wildlife Biologist for the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service at the San Diego NWR Complex. In my previous life (Jan 2008–Feb 2023), I spent 15 years working on San Clemente Island, mostly managing the release and monitoring of the endangered San Clemente Loggerhead Shrike. Though my contributions to it have stopped for now, I still maintain a long-term database of migratory bird sightings for the "the island" and am currently editing/co-authoring the forthcoming Birds of California's Channel Islands, due out in 2025.
