I've always been fascinated by nature either despite or fueled by my lack of knowledge on any particular topic. Insects are my favorite, though I will take advantage of an opportunity now and then for a bird or plant picture. I've had some formal education in entomology, but just enough to reinforce how little I know and how much more there is to learn. I currently work as the Conservation Program Manager at the Appleton-Whittell Research Ranch of the National Audubon Society and have really enjoyed getting to know the critters that are my neighbors way out here.
