I am a keen naturalist living in north Chatham-Kent and have always been interested in nature. I started serious bird watching in 1987 after experiencing a major fallout of birds at Rondeau Park in May. I am also an avid butterfly watcher. I have been involved with various volunteer nature surveys and other citizen science events within the natural world. Some organizations that I am a member:Sydenham Field Naturalists, Lambton Wildlife Inc., Ontario Nature (Life), Nature Canada, Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO), Bird Studies Canada, Toronto Entomologists Association (TEA), Ducks Unlimited (DU), Steamship Historical Society of America, Detroit Historical Society, and Antique and Classic Boat Society (ACBS). I am currently seasonal writer for the Ontario Summer Report in North American Birds (NAB). I am a past voting member of the Ontario Bird Records Committee (OBRC). Favourite birding place is Rondeau Provincial Park and area.
