I've recently retired from U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service as rare plant botanist, and am looking forward to going through years' worth of photos - mostly from southern California mountains and deserts, but also from more distant lands. Have now relocated to Surprise Valley in eastern Modoc County, California, so starting to learn a new set of plants. I am a California Certified Consulting Botanist (#0007), and am currently on the board of the California Native Plant Society's Botanist Certification Committee. I have a deep respect for anything that can photosynthesize, making it possible for the rest of us to live on this planet.
