I've worked as a field biologist for over 20 years, most notably as a conservation botanist at the Atlantic Canada Conservation Data Centre from 2006 to 2019. My work has taken me all over Atlantic Canada in search of provincially and nationally rare species. I'm a member of the COSEWIC's Vascular Plant Species Specialist Subcommittee and various provincial species at risk working groups. Although my passion is for vascular plants, my interests are fairly broad. I now work for Parks Canada at Kouchibouguac National Park, a few kilometres from where I grew up.
