Beginner amateur botanist, intermediate birder. I am particularly interested in native plants of California and Texas. Grew up in West Texas but have lived in the Bay Area since 1973. Worked in medical field.. I am recently retired and finally have time to focus on nature, which has always been my true love. My retirement goal is “Find kind people who love the earth and spend more time with them”: so far that has served me well.
