I'm a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in Environmental Science. From 1995 to 1998, I worked at Fort Polk in western Louisiana working with Red-cockaded woodpeckers and on various botanical projects. Since 1998, I've been an environmental consultant with Raven Environmental Services in Huntsville, Texas specializing in ecology and endangered species management. I spend my spare time on plant ecology and taxonomy; primarily the genera Sisyrinchium and Yucca and Families Apiaceae and Fabaceae. I also am documenting species on two properties that I own.
