I am a Park Interpreter at Pike Lake Provincial Park in Saskatchewan. I guide hikes through three different ecosystems and provide species identification in terrestrial and aquatic environments. I also work part time with the Saskatchewan Environmental Society (SES) in Saskatoon, SK. I have experience leading hands-on workshops for youth that focus on energy and water conservation, as well as waste reduction. I have recently started focusing my work on coordinating the Student Action for a Sustainable Future (SASF) program at the SES. SASF is a program that teaches students about six areas of sustainability, including biodiversity, energy, water, waste, transportation, and food. I support teachers and students as they develop meaningful inquiry projects. The goal of their projects is to create measurable change and lower greenhouse gas emissions in the community. I have a B.A. & Sc. in Environment and Society and a Certificate in Sustainability from the University of Saskatchewan.
