I worked with Point Blue Conservation Science from 1999-2019, and am still a Research Associate with Point Blue. l lead projects as Point Blue's principal investigator from 2002-2019 in the Sonoran, Mojave, and Great Basin Deserts. I completed my Master's at the University of Arizona, studying with Dr. Charles van Riper III and working in partnership with the USGS and Point Blue. Long-term projects include field work in Antarctica (Adelie Penguins 2004-2005), at Mono Lake, CA (Willow and Dusky Flycatcher Demographic Study 2002-2013), the Amargosa River, CA (all-species monitoring 2005-2016), Sonoran Desert xeroriparian washes of SE CA and southern AZ (all species monitoring 2003-2012), the Owens River, CA (Willow Flycatcher monitoring 2014-2016).

Other field sites include the Argus Range, CA, Vandenberg AFB, CA, Point Reyes National Seashore, CA, Owens Valley, CA, Shoshone and Toiyabe Mountains, NV, northern North Dakota, northwest Lower Peninsula, MI, the 'Thumb', MI, Owens Lake, CA, central IN, Afton Canyon, CA, Tejon Ranch, CA, Gila Lower Box, NM. I am now based in Tucson, AZ.
